Highlight Of The Week: Wolf's Neck Farm Field Trip!

Greetings Kindergarten Families!

THIS WEEK:

We will continue the theme: Fall Is Here!  We will continue to read and write about autumn.  We will also begin to learn about pumpkins as we prepare to visit Wolf’s Neck Farm.  Students will be introduces to the letter Bb and continue to work with rhyme, and compare letters, words and sentences.  In math students will make shape collages, continue to practice counting and identify what number comes before, and or next in a sequence.  In science students will continue to explore life cycles as we learn about pumpkins and how they grow.

CONFERENCES:

Parent – teacher conferences will be held the week of October 24 – 28, 2011.  Please contact me this week if you are unsure when your child’s conference has been scheduled.

FIELD TRIP:

Our class will visit Wolf’s Neck Farm this Friday, October 21, 2011.  We will depart school at 8:50 and return for lunch at 11:15.  Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately.  We do not have a rain date, so unless it is pouring, we will try to visit the farm.

Dike-Newell School is holding a food drive.  If you would like to donate a nonperishable item please send it to school with your child.  All items will be given to the Bath Area Food Bank.
