Greetings Kindergarten Families!
Friday’s trip to Wolfe’s Neck Farm was a huge success. We had great weather, and a lot of fun exploring the barn, feeding the animals, and picking pumpkins. Thank you to the parent chaperones who joined us. The number of parents who offered to help chaperone thrilled me, we were only able to invite three parents on this trip, but I will need additional chaperones for events throughout the year.
THIS WEEK:
We will wrap up the theme: Fall Is Here! We will continue to read and write about autumn. Students will be introduces to the letter Pp and begin learning about syllables (parts of words). Ask your child to clap the number of syllables in the names of members of your family. In math students will review patterning, shapes, counting, and more. In science we will wrap up our discussion of life cycles for the fall.
CONFERENCES:
Don’t miss your parent-teacher conference. I look forward to meeting with all of you to discuss your child’s progress this year.
PICTURE RE-TAKES:
School pictures were sent home last week. If your child did not have their picture taken, or you would like to have your child re-take their school picture please complete the form that was sent home and send it to school in your child’s folder. Picture re-takes will be done on November 1, 2011.
